The Healthplex Fitness Center features state-of-the-art fitness equipment, professional management and staff, and a full line of programs designed to reach your personal health and fitness goals. These group programs include:
CYCLING PROGRAMS
Cycling - An invigorating cardio workout performed on a stationary bike based on sound cycling principles. Classes focus on cadence, heart-rate zones, sport-specific drills, climbs and “spin-ups” that can make an unpredictable ride that is fun and challenging.
Intro to SPIN® in 30 minutes - First time in a spin class? This class is perfect for you! 30 minutes of basic spin instruction and workout! This class is offered the first Thursday of the month.
Senior Spin - This is a 30 minute spin class that accommodate members who want to try a modified spin class. The instructor will spend time setting members up on the bike and teaches a low intensity spin class.
Sunrise Cycle- The perfect way to start your day! This class focuses on an intense cardio workout on stationary bikes as a group.
SPIN® - Get the most bang for your buck with Spinning®! These indoor cycling classes are tailored to suit a wide range of abilities and fitness goals, while providing the most energizing and entertaining outdoor-inspired cycling rides.
Race Day - High Intensity ! Sprints and Hills! Meet the challenge of the ride!
SPIN® AND CORE- 40 minutes of spin and 15 minutes of core.
AQUA PROGRAMS

Aqua Challenge- This class is for individuals ready for a challenge and who like to have fun! It includes a variety of weight resistance training and cardio.
Aqua Motion - Take the stress out of your program by diving into this high/low impact, deep/shallow water total body workout suitable for all levels.
Aqua Tai Chi - A relaxing form of Tai Chi that increases the flexibility of the limbs and joints through range of motion movements done in the warm water therapy pool.
Aqua Yoga - Focuses on building strength and flexibility that creates a foundation for Yoga poses and helps improve one's overall balance while flowing through graceful movements.
Back In Action - A gentle exercise class designed especially for people who have physical limitations.
Gear It Up! - Get to your next fitness level without risk of injury. This class improves body tone, flexibility, cardiovascular strength and physical fitness.
Gentle Motion - Gentle, Therapeutic movements to strengthen the body/mind, gain flexibility, and increase balance/coordination. A holistic fitness series, benefiting body/mind/spirit.
Pump H20 - High intensity water aerobics for intermediate to advanced fitness levels.
Smart Moves Pool Program- Integrative program for those living with Parkinson disease, Muscular Dystrophy or any progressive neurological disorder.
Wet & Wild - Groove to the tunes, sweat while you're wet, and get fit and energized as we take you through fun cardio and resistance exercises for a low impact total body workout.
CARDIO CLASSES

Sit Fit - This is a low impact aerobic class done seated in a chair. Upper and lower body strength and balance are the focus. Great for beginners.
Whopping Movers– designed for LSVT Big graduates and/or individuals with Parkinson’s disease. A formatted class that includes a light warm-up, stretching, multidirectional sustained and repetitive movements, light resistance training, and functional balance exercises.
XTreme Workout- Only for the hard core, dedicated, strong willed fitness folk. Agility drills, strength, plyometrics; for a total body workout.
Cardio one Fusion- Aerobic dance intervals for cardiovascular fitness with an infusion of balance, core strength and light weight conditioning.
SCULPT CLASSES

Cardio Sculpt - Total body workout with aerobic dance intervals for cardiovascular fitness, combined with a free weight component.
Core N’ More - Combination of core exercises, intervals & strength work.
Get Fit While you Sit - This class helps improve upper body strength, core strength, and flexibility all from a chair! Enjoy this low impact class
Muscle Up - Work all of your major muscle groups with free weights, stability balls, barbells and tubes.
Power Hour - This class offers a series of strength, sculpt, and cardio exercises, repeat sets two or three times. Intermediate workout, can be modified for beginners.
Progressive Body Strengthening - This class challenges strength and endurance by slowly progressing in weight and reps.
Rock Bottoms- Cardio intervals using a variety of step, kickboxing, squats and lunges that will keep your heart pumping and core/ lower body challenged.
Total Body Conditioning (TBC)- Balance and agility drills that will challenge your core/postural muscles for strength, endurance and stability.
Powerplex - This workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls. Barbells and dumbbells are used for intensity.
MIND / BODY CLASSES

Chair Yoga - Exercises to nourish the nervous system, promote circulation and boost the immune system. Great for seniors, those with arthritis, recovering from illness or injury.
Iron Yoga - Specialty yoga class using weights. Please sign up at the front desk.
Mat Pilates - Teaches body awareness, good posture and easy, graceful movement. Increases core strength, flexibility, agility and economy of motion.
Pilates for Flexibility - Teaches good posture while increasing flexibility, strength, circulation, and balance. Pilates strengthens your core. With this flowing class, your entire body will feel rejuvenated and toned. Beginners are welcome/modifications available.
Pilates Plus “Authentic Sequence” - For Joseph Pilates, the sequence and controlled pace were the key to his system. This class utilizes the six basic principles of Pilates to challenge the beginner to advanced student.
Restorative Yoga - An invigorating yoga class that you will leave with a sense of relaxation and renewal. All levels welcome.
Therapeutic Yoga - Somatics & Gentle Yoga, with an emphasis upon breath. A foundational approach for greater body/breath awareness. Reduce Stress and increase coordination.
ZenCore - A limited edition series! This class is interval training with dynamic low impact movement taught multi level using weights, barre, ball, mat, and bands. This is a dynamic yoga and pilates class with the use of bamboo sticks.
Tai Chi - Includes instruction of postures, education in transitional moves and stress reduction /body awareness exercises. Improves endurance, strength, agility and efficiency of movement in an hour of pure fun!
DANCE CLASSES

Zumba - A fusion of Latin and international music. Simple routines combining aerobic and fitness interval training that tone and sculpt the body. The FEEL-HAPPY WORKOUT!
Zumba For Beginners - This class is fantastic for anyone who is new to Zumba® or wants a slower paced dance class! Welcome to the world of Zumba!!
Felipe’s Danzarobics - An overall amazing workout, all while having fun. Get your groove on and burn calories with this energetic aerobic workout.
Jazzercise - the world's largest dance-fitness program that incorporates aerobics, yoga, salsa and pilates. All of the movements have been reviewed by an excercise psysiologist for safety and effectiveness. It combines low-impact and high -impact movements and the instructor will demonstrate which is best for you. Jazzercise focuses on coordination, balance, flexibility, and muscle toning.
SPECIALTY CLASSES

Self Defense Essentials- Wednesdays and Fridays at 6:15pm. 85/month for members and $99/month for non-members. Learn the most effective ways to invade or respond with confidence to protect you and loved ones. Learn techniques that work even if the assailant is bigger and stronger than you are.
COMBAT HAPKIDO - Wednesdays and Fridays at 7pm. $85/month for members and $99/month for non-members. This Martial Arts program makes the most effective use of your time and energy using modern self-defense techniques against your attacker. It includes an extensive variety of joint locks, kicks, strikes, take downs, limited throws, pressure pointes, ground grappling, disarming techniques and the use of common weapons.
PRT (Pilates Reformer Technique) - Fee Based Class: Sign up at the front desk – A unique system of exercises that strengthens and lengthens all of your muscles. Integrates core control, correct breathing and proper alignment. Must have at least 2 participants registered to hold a class.
